It is good to help the people but the continuous 
help might be misinterpreted and be taken as

•Dependence

The People who are  at "distance" to you can be easily moved away.

boundaries like Finance,Beer Drinking, Camping,
Birthdays,Celebrating Birthdays,New Year 
Religious Holiday or Cultural Day  Extended Family Day.

When you are celebrating there are things which you must talk or don't about like
Don't talk about your
-family (children,uncles,nephews)
-Spouse.
-Job successes and failures.
-past which was good and bad.
-how did you break the law before.

You can talk about

-surroundings which you find yourself  like flowers, decorations,outfit.
-sports.
-cars in general.
-economy,is it  weak or strong.
-accidents, health, education etc
